OPEN DOORS
As well as visiting and getting to know the campus facilities, you’ll be able to discover the 42 methodology by tackling a series of programming challenges that will put your digital and social skills to the test.
You don’t need any prior knowledge of programming; the only requirement is that you’re over 18 and keen to learn how to learn.
WORKSHOPS
These are three-hour sessions where you can try things out, experiment and find out whether technology is for you… but through our disruptive 42 methodology: no lectures, learning by doing and surrounded by a community.
Our initiatives focus on different areas of programming and technology, such as Artificial Intelligence and cybersecurity.

An educational experience without limits
Frequently Asked Questions
Training at 42 is completely free of charge. There are no hidden fees, now or after 42. In 42 Urduliz, Bizkaia, the training is completely funded by the Bizkaia Provincial Council and Telefónica Foundation.
You’ll need a place to sleep in and cover your daily costs (transport, allowances, etc.) if you don’t live in Madrid, which will be at your own expense, except for your studies at 42 which, as we mentioned, are 100% free of charge for students.
Any person of legal age can submit an application to the campus. There’s no age limit.
Everyone is welcome at 42, but we don’t recommend training to students before they’re of legal age to prevent them from dropping out of secondary school.
Up to a maximum of four and a half years on average, with the first part – the ‘Common Core’ – lasting between 12 and 18 months.
The training at 42 is intensive. It isn’t advisable to have a full-time job. Part-time work is more reasonable, but it requires a large degree of personal discipline.
No preparatory diploma or specialisation course is required to become a student at 42.
42 does not offer official academic qualifications within the Spanish formal education system. However, students who complete certain specialisation projects can obtain RNCP certification — Répertoire National des Certifications Professionnelles —, a professional certificate officially recognised by the French Ministry of Labour and valid throughout Europe under the European Qualifications Framework.

Yes, you can. However, 42 does not offer distance learning. You must attend in person for the selection process and throughout the entire course.
